The Summerland Bluegrass Festival will be coming to the Okanagan area from June 12th to the 14th. It will feature the Bix Mix Boys from Edmonton. They are one of the hottest bluegrass bands found in all of Canada. Entertainment will be provided on the stage throughout the festival including the twin fiddles from Tony and Terry from the Bix Mix Boys.

This year marks the 20th Annual Summerland Bluegrass Festival. It will be held at the Summerland Rodeo Grounds. The festival schedule will include:

Thursday, June 11th

  • Gates open at 10am
  • Meeting for volunteers at 6pm
  • Early Bird and Volunteer Jam at 7:30pm

Friday, June 12th

  • Open Mic and Band Scramble Registration at 9am
  • Open Mic from 12:30pm to 5:30pm
  • Supper Hour from 5:30pm to 6:30pm
  • Open Mic from 6:30pm to 9pm
  • Jam in Main Building at 9:30pm

Saturday, June 13th

  • Report for Band Scramble at 8:45am
  • Band Scramble Performances from 9:30pm to 11am
  • Workshops from 11am to 12pn
  • Open Mic from 12pm to 5:30pm
  • Supper Hour from 5:30pm to 6:45pm
  • Concert with Special Guests The Bix Mix Boys from 7pm to 9pm
  • Jam in Main Building at 9:30pm
  • Parking Lot Pickin' at 10pm

Sunday, June 14th

  • Gospel Open Mic from 9:30pm to 12pm
  • Open Mic from 12pm until the last band is done.

The schedule is packed with all kinds of music and fun for the entire weekend.

Plenty of vendors will be on hand including Greg's Gourmet. There will be food, beverage and more at the festival.

Passes and Camping

If you want to attend the 20th Annual Summerland Bluegrass Festival, you can get a day pass for $10 per person or a weekend pass for $15 per person. Children ages 12 and under get in free.

You can also camp for the weekend if you want for $10 per unit, per day or $20 for the weekend. It will be dry camping only.
