Halloween is a time to celebrate with the ghosts and goblins. Here are a few ways you can celebrate the holiday near Okanagan. By dressing up you will become more enthralled with the events that you will experience in any one of the following locations. So grab a mask and check them out.

Haunted Tales of Kamloops Past

You and the kids have got to visit the Haunted Tales of Kamloops Past on October 27th and 28th. A flashlight tour will be held by the Kamloops Museum & Archives at the Pleasant Street Cemetery. Stories will include echoes of the forgotten souls, historical spooky spots, and more stories of the scary burial grounds. Doesn't that sound spine-chilling? For more details, feel free to call 250-828-3576.

The Halloween Treat Trail

The Halloween Treat Trail is operational on October 31st for families of children 12 years and under in Downtown Vernon. If you want bunches of great candy be sure to visit and collect some while the supplies last. Costumes are a must and children must have an adult present for the Treat Trail. For more information, please call 250-542-5851 and you can go online for the map location.

Spooktacular

The 22nd annual Spooktacular event will be held on October 24th and 25th with gates opening at 5pm. So, pull out the scariest costume you can locate and explore the R J. Haney Heritage Village. The menacing ghouls, haunted house, and spooky trail will be sure to get the little spooks excited. Also offered is the Colouring Room and Story Book Trail, but remember children under 16 must be accompanied by an adult with a minimal admission at the gate.

Ghost Train

The Kamloops Heritage Railway is involved with the Ghost Train on October 23rd and 24th of 2015 at 7pm. The event is also scheduled for October 29th-31st at 7pm. However, the only one suitable for young children will be held on October 31 at 4pm. It sounds like a ghoulish ride full of trusting fate. The Kamloops was restored by volunteers and brought back to life after 33 years.

One of the above events will be the chilling experience you and your family will definitely want to experience. Join all the fun and excitement with the ghosts and ghouls. Be sure to bring a flashlight and something to collect all the goodies offered by the ghosts of Halloween's past!
