This October Okanagan is proud to announce the Fall Okanagan Wine Festival is coming to town. For 10 days, you can enjoy various events celebrating wine, food, education and arts. Here are the events you can expect to see at this year’s festival from October 2nd through October 10th.
October 2nd, 2014
There are three different events taking place on opening day of the festival.
- “Sip into Fall” from 10am-6pm at the Sleeping Giant Fruit Winery in Summerland - You’ll get to try autumn flavours like the Pumpkin and Cranberry wines and there’s no charge to attend.
- “Hops, Grapes & Grub” taking place at Miradoro Restaurant from 6:30pm – 9:30pm - For $65 a person you’ll enjoy a 3-course dinner with Firehall Brewery beer and Tinhorn Creek wine.
- “Casabella Princess Wine Tasting Cruise” on Okanagan Lake - For $65, you’ll get gourmet Hors d’oeuvres served to your table with wine and food pairings all night. You’ll love the waterside views from the paddlewheeler.
October 3rd, 2014
On October 3rd, you’ll have the chance to try “The Westjet Wine Tastings” at the Rotary Centre for the Arts in Kelowna. For $70, you’ll receive appetizers from Nesters Market, cheeses from Alexis de Portneuf, and tastings from 60 wineries. You’ll get to hear live music during the event and it starts at 7pm till 9:30pm.
The events continue on for 10 days and you won’t want to miss any of them. Here is what you can expect for the festival:
- “Howling Bluff Fall Wine Release” at Howling Bluff Estate Winery October 3rd-13th
- “Nine, Dine & Wine” at Kelowna Springs Golf Club from 2:30-5pm on October 3rd-5th and October 10th-12th
- “Sip into Sunset” at Summerhill Pyramid Winery from October 3rd-13th
- “Oyster Bar & Happy Hour” at Summerhill Pyramid Winery from 3pm-5pm on October 3rd-13th
- “Quails’ Gate Old Vines Restaurant Fall Harvest Dinner Series” from 5pm-9pm on October 3rd-13th
