Rich in culture, Okanagan offers an array of art in various forms. You can experience artisan food and wine, visit local art galleries, attend an artisan festival, as well as explore artwork from local artist displayed in shops or along the streets.

The best way to experience the Kelowna Cultural District is to walk, as there are many boutiques, restaurants, live theatre, music and public art displays for you to enjoy. You will find the Kelowna Art Gallery and the Rotary Centre for the Arts here as well. You will also find many murals along the streets, including Spirt of Sails, Rhapsofy and Reach for the Stars.
The Turtle Island Gallery can also be found in Kelowna. This gallery houses an impressive display of Aboriginary artwork, which includes carvings, mask and jewellery.
Kamloop is home to The Kamloops Art Gallery, which provides a diverse amount of art in an extraordinary building. You will have access to four different areas of displays, that include approximately 2,000 pieces of art. You can expect to find a lot of contemporary art.
Downtown Vernon offers 26 giant murals that are painted along the streets. These murals provide a visual history of the area. You can pick up a walking tour guide at the Vernon Visitor Centre.
Near Princeton you will find the Snaza'ist Discovery Centre. Explore ancient pictographs and rock painting from all around the British Columbia area.
There are a number of festivals and events that offer an inside look into the artistic culture of this area. These include Kamloops Bizarre Bazaar, Kamloops Art Walk, and Lake Country Art Walk. There is no better way to experience Okanagan than to discover the amazing world of art that lives within this region.
