Founded in 2009 by owners Tetsu Mori, Hide Takahashi, and Kiyan Mitsuru, Mabui specializes in authentic Okinawan - Japanese dishes served in a warm and friendly atmosphere. They offer a variety of meat, seafood and vegetarian dishes for their guests and are the only restaurant in the area to have authentic Japanese beer on tap.

They Have a Traditional Menu Anyone Would Enjoy

Their traditional menu covers a wide variety of Japanese dishes. Karaage is a Japanese take on fried chicken, and the pork Tonkatsu is a delicious fried cutlet with special BBQ sauce. If you are a fan of beef, the Tataki prepared beef is an excellent rare preparation with a tangy citrus sauce. However, seafood is where Mabui truly shines. The salmon cheek will introduce you to a cut of fish you did not know existed, while the yellow tail tataki is quickly seared and topped with a sweet and sour plum sauce

Sushi and Sashimi Are Within Your Reach

No Japanese restaurant is complete without a sushi and sashimi offering, and Mabui is no different. Whether you prefer rolls or nigiri sushi, Mabui has something for you. For something a little different, try the yam roll or the Mabui roll. The Spider roll is also excellent with soft shell crab, radish, avocado, and masago (fish roe). Sashimi and nigiri sushi are available per serving.

An Excellent Drink Menu

Mabui also has an excellent drink menu to complement their meals. Five types of chilled sake and two hot varieties join a limited beer menu (which has three types of Japanese beer and four domestics). A small wine menu and some special house cocktails are also available.

If you are looking for great sushi and Japanese food served in a warm and authentic atmosphere, Mabui is the place to go. Bring your friends for a great time.
