The Okanagan Wine Festival is quickly approaching its start date of January 17, 2015 and runs through January 25, 2015. There are many different events that take place during the wine festival so you’re sure to find something that you will enjoy.

You can sit back and enjoy eating a variety of different grilled cheese sandwiches paired with two different types of wines during the Grilled Cheese and Wine event. This event is held at the Sun Peaks Resort on January 17th.

On the 18th, you can enjoy four different Starbucks coffees paired with four British Colombian wines. You will be served the coffee and wine with a delicious brunch plate. This event runs from 10:30 am to 12:30 pm.

The Big Varietal Showdown

The Big Varietal Showdown takes place on the 20th and here you will be introduced to some of the best varietals in British Colombia. You will be able to taste and compare the different wines as well as learn about each of them and what kind of food is best to be paired with them.

Taste of Sun Peaks

If you have a hearty appetite, check out the Taste of Sun Peaks event on the 21st. You will get to taste a number of different plates of food that include a variety of Canadian cheeses and are paired with wine from eight different British Colombian wineries. While you taste your food and wine, you will enjoy listening to live music.

Icewines and Nothing Less and Port, Chocolate and Cheese

There are two different events held on the 22nd. The first is the Icewines and Nothing Less event during which you will learn about and compare the different Icewines. The second event is the Port, Chocolate and Cheese event during which you will be able to sample a variety of Port wines, Rocky Mountain Chocolates, and delicious Canadian cheeses.

There are many other events taking place during the wine festival, so there is sure to be at least one event that all lovers of wine will enjoy and fun participating in.
