Who says winter time has to be boring? There are some exciting activities occurring in Okanagan this February. There are a number of events that the whole family can enjoy, including outstanding culture, art, food and wine activities. Here are some of the events to look forward to.
BC Heritage Week
This event will present in a number of neighbourhoods, all over Okanagan. This is a grand celebration to remember the heritage that formed the British Columbia area. It is a yearly event that focuses on history and culture. The third Monday in February, on national Heritage day, this event begins. It will continue for a full week.
Vernon Winter Carnival
This carnival has taken on the title of being known as one of the best events in the Okanagan Valley. The Vernon Winter Carnival takes place in Vernon BC. It is one of the longest running events in Okanagan. It began in 1961, and has brought entertainment for individuals of all ages, despite know-how or interest. Activities will last for 10 days, and be held at a number of locations.

- Silver Star Mountain Resort - Each year this event takes on a new theme, which brings excitement and anticipation.
- Okanagan Wine and Dine - This event last for two weeks. Area eateries partake in festivities by offering specials on dining options, as well as providing wine suggestions, which complement menu offerings. You will be able to taste amazing wine and menu options from local restaurants. Dinner options range between $15 to $35. Wine will cost extra, as well as tax and tip. This offer will be found at many of the local eateries.
