Winter Okanagan Wine Festival - January 17th to January 25th

Wine

The Okanagan Wine Festival is quickly approaching its start date of January 17, 2015 and runs through January 25, 2015. There are many different events that take place during the wine festival so you’re sure to find something that you will enjoy.

You can sit back and enjoy eating a variety of different grilled cheese sandwiches paired with two different types of wines during the Grilled Cheese and Wine event. This event is held at the Sun Peaks Resort on January 17th.

On the 18th, you can enjoy four different Starbucks coffees paired with four British Colombian wines. You will be served the coffee and wine with a delicious brunch plate. This event runs from 10:30 am to 12:30 pm.

Drag Racing 

The Valemont Drag Races is one of the most exciting events found in the winter season near Okanagan. This year it will be held at the 5th Annual Winter Festival and the event will be even bigger than years past. There will be plenty of snowmobilers ready to test their skills and see how fast they can go.

The Races

The drag races will be split into five classes, which include:

  • Stock
  • Mountain
  • Improved
  • Pro
  • Amateur

The Wildlights Festival is coming to the BC Wildlife Park this December. It’s the 17th annual celebration and it’s a family tradition in the area. You’ll get to see 380 shimmering rope-light sculptures, plus enjoy wagon rides and a Laser Light Show.
